At Gnar, we aim to create products that speak to a wider range of consumers than what is being offered today. By stepping out of the stereotypical skate industry, and focusing on a more gender neutral, new wave grunge vibe. We cater to the emotional highs and lows of a new age.

Logo

The clear space around "gnar" is proportional to the width and height of the same point size “A” as shown. With the tagline included in the logo, it keeps the same proportions for the clear space. The tagline is centers between the bottom of the “G” and the foot of the “R.” It sits on the bottom of where the A would touch the bottom.

Cool colors can interchange with flat
use of color as long as contrast is adjusted to fit.
It is okay to put white logo on the brand pattern.
Logo on photography is good as long as it isn’t too low contrast.
When using the logo,
use it rarely and keep it
bold when done.

Color Story & Pattern


This pattern actually tessellates to go on forever. It uses all the brand colors which when overlayed together create other colors do to a similar effect of the balances between RGB and CMYK offsets. The pattern is pretty psychedelic, free-flowing, and intricate which I think appeals really well to my audience.
Product application
The point of this project was to build out two brands that had products of similar properties. This being brand focused, the output was the brand book. Designing the product around the brand was a side piece but I think it holds a lot of value in terms of being a larger weight of what the brand represents.
